The annual Super Lawyers list is compiled through a state-by-state survey of lawyers. More than 800,000 lawyers across the country are asked to nominate the best attorneys they’ve seen in action.
Super Lawyers Rising Stars list uses the same criteria, except that those on the list must be either 40 years old or younger or must have been in practice for 10 years or fewer. Only the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state who meet those standards are named to the Rising Stars List.
Best Lawyers In America conducts its list by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their peers.
The Best of U.S. – Lawyers list is compiled through a process that includes peer nominations and client nominations. Best of U.S. - Lawyers are recognized for professional excellence and for continuing their education and staying current in their field.
